April 23rd Presentation: Wildfire Preparedness & Defensible Space

April 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join us for our presentation on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:00pm at the OSU Extension meeting room (2990 Experiment Station Drive, Hood River). You can also join us virtually by registering at this link.

Join Andrew Spaeth, Hood River Forest Collaborative, and Heather Hendrixson, Hood River Soil & Water Conservation District, for a presentation on Wildfire Preparedness and Defensible Space in Hood River County. Wildfire threatens homes, critical infrastructure, high value agricultural lands, natural habitat, human health, and recreation. Learn about efforts to restore forests and address hazardous fuels on federal land and in the wildland urban interface in order to effectively reduce risk, ensure safe and effective fire suppression, and enable Hood River County to be able to more safely live with wildland fire.

Join us in person at the Hood River Experiment Station Meeting Room or via Zoom at 6:00pm to hear Watershed Group project and member updates, followed by the presentation. Join us virtually by registering at this link.

6:00 – 6:15 pm: Project updates and member announcements
